CL Voelcker tackle another Site Regeneration project
A recent commission at consultants CL Voelcker is associated with the
site regeneration of a former battery manufacturing site in Birmingham. The 10 hectare site in the Sparkhill area of Birmingham has been used over many years for the manufacture and distribution of automotive batteries under the Lucas, Tungsten, Crompton and Oldham brands as well as own label brands for certain well known retail automotive outlets. Following the cessation of all operations, the site will be redeveloped as part of a wider regeneration programme of the local area.”
CL Voelcker are working with the owners of the site in respect of the regulatory issues associated with the closure of the factory and are carrying out extensive investigations to quantify any contamination issues that may be present and subsequently develop the appropriate remediation strategy for the site.
