CL Voelcker: "Going the extra mile"

On Thursday 5 May, CL Voelcker were presented with the annual Somerfield Stores property award. The environmental consultancy services were provided during the recent acquisition of a chain of petrol filling stations throughout the UK. In presenting the award Ian Callaghan, Head of Property at Somerfield, made particular reference to the dedication of the CLA team in meeting a deadline which many advisers had considered practically impossible. This has enabled Somerfield to exchange on a £100M deal to purchase 140 filling stations and provide a network of local convenience stores. CLA will continue their involvement in the project as consultants for the planning and construction phases over the next 3 years.
The award was presented at the annual Somerfield Property Conference, a gathering of consultants, contractors and professional advisers involved in the extension or refit of some 250 stores during the year 2004/05.
