Network Rail Contractors Assurance Case

ESGL have now
had their Contractors Assurance Case (CAC) accepted
by Network Rail which allows them to undertake
work on the Network Rail controlled infrastructure
throughout the UK.
The CAC is an important document which gives
the divisions of ESGL the ability to provide specialist
services directly to Network Rail without going
through a main contracting organisation. It also
eases the route for contractors to engage ESGL
as their systems and protocols have already been
ratified to Network Rail standards.
The process to obtain acceptance has been long
and arduous and was not assisted by the changing
face of Railtrack and then Network Rail but was
greatly assisted by the Integrated Management
System already in place at ESGL.
Services provided to the railway network by ESGL
include ground investigation, geotechnical design,
track bed surveying and more recently asbestos
surveys of stations, signal boxes and other lineside
buildings.
