  • HSE-licensed asbestos removal project management
  • UKAS-accredited building surveys (Type 1, 2 and 3) to MDHS100
  • UKAS-accredited air sampling and analysis
  • UKAS-accredited bulk sampling and analysis
  • asbestos management consultancy
  • Expert Witness and Proof of Evidence
  • training services - asbestos

We offer technology and information system solutions as an integral part of our asbestos management service as well as having developed our own in-house software which is used in tandem with proprietary software products to enable us to offer the client the right solution to meet their needs.

Quality Policy

Environmental Contamination Sciences, as part of ESGL, operates and is committed to best professional practice in all aspects of its inspection and testing services.

For inspection services, ECS is UKAS accredited as a Type C inspection body, and operates in strict compliance with BS EN ISO/IEC 17020:2004 which meets the relevant requirements of BS EN ISO 9000 series of standards.

For testing services, ECS is UKAS accredited ensuring compliance with the requirements of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. The laboratory's fulfilment of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 means the laboratory meets both the technical competence requirements and management system requirements that are necessary to deliver technically valid test results and calibrations. The management system requirements in ISO/IEC 17025 (Section 4) are written relevant to laboratory operations and meet the principles of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems – Requirements.

Our Culture

ECS strives to be recognised by customers as the premier provider in the market, combining the highest standards of quality, service and value.

We do this by focusing on our customers' precise needs and working in partnership with them to tailor 'bespoke' asbestos management solutions - whether on an integrated or single supplier basis.

This approach calls for a culture of honesty, openness and transparency which permeates everything that we do and is reflected in the attitude, commitment and performance of every member of ECS.
